There is no fee to apply

Do not pay anyone who offers to move you up the waiting list.

Eligibility

Eligibility is set by HUD rules and the Housing Authority’s admissions policy. In general, households must:

  • Be 62 or older, or a person with a disability
  • Have household income below HUD’s limit for Union County
  • Provide proof of identity, Social Security numbers, and income for every household member
  • Pass the screening described in the admissions policy

Rent

Rent is based on household income. For most households it is about 30 percent of adjusted monthly income. Staff explain your exact rent at your interview and at each recertification.

Report changes in income or household members as your lease requires.
